Education at SRT

Education outreach is a core focus at Sierra Rep, to instill a love of arts in our youth and as an important service to our region. We send professional artists into schools with trunk shows and for informal discussion, and bring thousands of students to the theater each year for discounted performances, occasional workshops and advanced training.

Core Programs

Student Matinees
Sierra Rep presents up to four student matinees annually. With support from sponsors and advertisers, Sierra Rep is able to offer schools--public, private and homeschooled, tickets for $7.

For the purposes of the student matinees, students are ages 6-18 (high school). College students and older do not qualify for these tickets. Ticket supply is small and demand is great, therefore tickets are drawn by lottery.

Family Theatre Nights
If you are a school--whether homeschool, private or public--get your students and their families together for a great night of theatre! Sierra Rep is pleased to be able to offer affordable tickets with the support of local businesses and private donors.

Tickets are $7. At least 50% of those attending must be school-aged children.Call the box office at (209) 532-3120 to make a reservation.

Currently there are no family theatre nights scheduled.
