Director: Julie Ludlum

Sierra RepÌs own Christmas tradition returns by popular demand. Inspired by the tales of Bret Harte, this original holiday play blends themes of home and family in a Gold Rush setting. It is Christmas Eve, 1852 at a cabin near rough-and-tumble Columbia, and a pair of miners are suddenly left with an orphaned infant. Over the years, the boy binds a loose-knit group of miners into a family. Then one night, a Boston woman arrives to claim the child as her nephew, and all those who love him must choose his future. ÏSRT strikes gold÷ a bright new tradition÷ thoroughly uplifting.Ó -- Union Democrat

Other favorite shows over the past 29 years include Dracula, The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild, Arsenic and Old Lace, Noises Off, The Nerd, The Foreigner, and Lend Me a Tenor. Nothing in Doug's life makes him prouder than being a co-founder of the remarkable venture known as Sierra Repertory Theatre.

GARY HOLMAN GARY HOLMAN (Hoke) Gary is in his 12th year with Sierra Rep after spending years in regional theater in the Bay Area. Among Gary's 100 varied roles are Torvald in A Doll House, Megs in Strange Snow, Paul in Barefoot in the Park, Capt. von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Paul in Carnival and Ramble in Lock Up Your Daughters!
